Dental Crowns
We can restore your teeth and smile with strong and natural looking Dental Crowns.

Discoloured, stained, and worn teeth can be rejuvenated with the durability and natural appearance of Dental Crowns.
Over time, teeth can become cracked, damaged or weakened by wear and tooth decay. A robust, more permanent solution is needed to maintain their longevity, and Dental Crowns can be that solution.
Large dental fillings can weaken a tooth, and bits of the tooth can fracture or break off spontaneously. A Dental Crown sits on top of your tooth like a hat holding the remaining structure of your tooth together.
Dental Crowns are made to blend with the colour and aesthetics of your natural teeth, and in addition to restoring their strength, they can be used to improve the appearance, shape or alignment of your smile.
With good oral hygiene, regular check-ups and professional Teeth Cleaning, a well made Dental Crown can last a very long time.

Why do we use 3D Scanning for Dental Crowns?
Gone are the days of messy and uncomfortable dental moulds. We use 3D Scanning to replace traditional impression taking with a more accurate and comfortable digital imaging process.
3D Scanning creates high quality digital impressions in lifelike colours. The varying shades of your teeth are measured in real time, for more accurate and predictable colour matching to your smile.
The enhanced detail that we capture with 3D Scanning produces a precise recreation of your teeth, so we can ensure the shape, fit and aesthetics of your Dental Crown is absolutely spot on.
Dental Crowns FAQs
Here are the answers to some of the most common questions we get about Dental Crowns.
1. What is a Dental Crown?
A Porcelain Crown restores the natural feel, strength and appearance of a tooth before it was damaged. It replaces the outer surface of a tooth all the way down to the gum and is permanently cemented in place.
2. How is a Dental Crown made?
A tooth having a Dental Crown is trimmed down to make the room for your replacement tooth. A model of your trimmed tooth is used by a quality Dental Lab to make your porcelain Dental Crown.
3. When does a tooth need a Dental Crown?
Dental Crowns are designed to protect damaged and weakened teeth. This includes teeth that have large fillings, cracks, excessive wear, or have been root canal treated.
4. How long does treatment take?
Dental Crowns require two appointments. The first to prepare your tooth, take impressions, and place a temporary crown. The second is to cement your permanent Dental Crown in position.
5. Will I spend any time without a tooth?
After your tooth has been prepared, you will have a temporary crown placed over your tooth while your Dental Crown is designed. This helps keep your gums healthy and protects against sensitivity.
