What is a dental crown?

A porcelain crown restores the natural feel, strength and appearance of a tooth before it was damaged. It replaces the outer surface of a tooth all the way down to the gum and is permanently cemented in place.

How long does it take to get crowns or veneers?

Dental crowns & veneers need two main visits. The first to prepare your tooth, take 3d scans, and place temporary teeth. The second is to permanenrly cement your porcelain crowns or veneers in place.

How is a dental crown made?

A tooth having a dental crown is trimmed down to make the room for your replacement tooth. A model of your prepared tooth is used by a quality Australian dental lab to make your porcelain dental crowns or veneers.

Will I spend any time without a tooth?

After your tooth has been shaped, a temporary crown is secured to your tooth while your porcelain crowns or veneers are designed. This helps keep your gums healthy and protects against sensitivity.

When does a tooth need a dental crown?

Dental crowns are designed to protect damaged and weakened teeth. This includes teeth that have large fillings, cracks, excessive wear, or have been root canal treated.
